The Annapurna Base Camp Trek is a two week tour through some of Nepal's most amazing natural landscapes, taking you through rice paddies, river banks, lush forests and quaint villages. Day 3: Pokhara (850 meters / 2788 feet) We start our day early in the morning to catch a tourist bus at 7 am, we then set off for Pokhara via Nepalese country side that offer green hills, river, farms etc. After a 200 km and around six hours drive we reach Pokhara (a city of Lake, literally); a city that offers us the magnificent view of various mountains namely Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Machhapuchre and other mountain of Annapurna range. Do some last minute shopping and self exploration around the town (walk around few lake, boating etc). Day 4: Hike to Tikhedhunga (1540 meters / 5052 feet) After our breakfast, we take an early morning drive to Nayapul which take about an hour. Our first day of Annapurna base camp trek is a bit easier hike through the bank of Modi Khola river, and the beautiful sight of lowland rice fields. Over night at teahouse. Day 7: Tadapani to Chomrong (2140 meters / 7020 feet) From Tadapani, we make a steep descent through the dense and dark forest to a beautiful village located on the lap of giant Annapurna massive known as Chomrong. Our route from Tadapani to Chomrong route passes through the west bank of the Modi Khola with descent and steep along the way to Chomrong below the towering peaks Annapurna South and Machhapuchhare (Fishtail). Overnight at teahouse. Fourth day of Annapurna base camp trek. Day 08 : Chomrong to Dovan (2600 meters / 8530 feet) Descending from Chomrong we reach Chomrong Khola and we climbing again to Khuldighar (2380 meters / 7808 feet) and to Dovan. Our route from Tadapani to Chomrong route passes through the west bank of the Modi Khola with descent and steep along the way to Chomrong below the towering peaks Annapurna South and Machhapuchhare (Fishtail). Overnight at teahouse. Fourth day of Annapurna base camp trek. Day 08 : Chomrong to Dovan (2600 meters / 8530 feet) Descending from Chomrong we reach Chomrong Khola and we climbing again to Khuldighar (2380 meters / 7808 feet) and to Dovan. Overnight at teahouse. Fifth day of Annapurna base camp trek. Day 9: Dovan to Machhapuchre Base Camp (3700 meters / 12139 feet) Gradual ascending through the river bank of Modi Khola we reach base camp of Machhapcuhre which also known as Mt. Fishtail. Overnight at teahouse. Sixth day of Annapurna base camp trek. Day 10: Annapurna base camp (4110 meters / 13484 feet) The trail continues gradual ascending Annapurna Base Camp. This area is called the Annapurna Sanctuary since it is totally surrounded by spectacular mountains. Overnight at Teahouse. Seventh day of Annapurna Base Camp trek. Day 11: Bamboo (2340 meters / 7677 feet) Wake up early morning, explore the hidden valley then trek back to Bamboo (2345meters), after breakfast you will be walking all the way down hill to Bamboo. 6 hours. Overnight at Teahouse. Eighth day of Annapurna Base Camp trek. Day 12: Jhinu (1780 meters / 5839 feet) Trek to Jhinu (hot spring) (1780meters) 5 hours. Overnight at Teahouse. Ninth day of Annapurna Base Camp trek. Day 13: Nayapul-Pokhara Trek to Nayapul (1010 meters) and drive to Pokhara. Overnight at hotel. Tenth/Last day of Annapurna Base Camp trek. You will have free time to relax, get message and enjoy your evening in lake side. Day 14: Fly to Kathmandu Spend some hours in Pokhara and late morning flight to Kathmandu. Transfer to hotel. Free time for shopping and other individual sightseeing in alleys of Kathmandu, specifically Thamel. Day 15: Departure Farewell and transfer to airport for flight back to destination country.
